Job Summary:
Aspirus Health is seeking full-time or part time Family Medicine Physicians with or without OB experience to join the Aspirus Wausau Family Medicine Residency Program (AWFM).
AWFM is a community-based family medicine program with 15 family medicine residents aiming to provide excellent, evidence-based, full-scope family medicine to a growing, vibrant small to mid-size midwestern community with a diverse patient care population. Faculty will be asked to provide broad-scope medical and procedural care with low-risk maternity care and obstetrics. Faculty will also have educational opportunities including resident and student teaching, mentoring, and promoting clinical-based research and scholarly activities.
Specific Responsibilities
Clinical
Faculty members are a foundational element of graduate medical education and provide an important bridge allowing residents to grow and become practice-ready, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care.
Work effectively and proficiently with other members of the extended inter-professional team.
Core faculty devote up to 40 percent of their time to patient care without residents.
Call responsibilities approximately 1:20 night/weekend call for inpatient OB (if applicable), pediatric, and newborn call.
No adult inpatient medicine call required.
Teaching (these guidelines are for 1.0 faculty. Some elements are subject to change for faculty with a lower FTE. .6 is the lowest allowable FTE for faculty)
Core faculty devote at least 60 percent of their time (at least 24 hours per week, or 1200 hours per year) to the program, exclusive of patient care without residents.
The majority of this professional effort is devoted to teaching, administration, scholarly activity, and supervising resident patient care within the program.
Serve as a faculty advisor and mentor for residents.
Promote and participate in educational programs (continuing education, resident, student), to include didactics in areas of interest.
Demonstrate commitment to scholarly activities and research in community-based health sciences.

Clinical Duties:
The fellowship is in adult medicine without pediatrics or OB. The first nine months will be in specialty rotations five days per week. The final three months is working as a supervised hospitalist 7 on, 7 off. Rotations will be at multiple hospitals within the Aspirus system with a housing stipend available.
Additional Requirements:
SHM membership is required and paid for by the program. Attending SHM’s annual “Converge” conference is required, and is paid for by the program. POCUS training is required. Fellows will attend CHEST’s course “Ultrasonography: Essentials in Critical Care. This is paid for by the program.
Salary & Benefits:
$90,000 base salary
The insurance and retirement benefits will match that of an attending Hospitalist in the program. Additional moonlighting for a full hospitalist wage is available and encouraged outside of rotation time. A $200,000 Hospitalist Fellowship Support Stipend paid out during the one-year Hospitalist Fellowship is available for Fellows with student loan debt who are willing to make a multi-year commitment to Aspirus’ Hospitalist Service.
Green Bay Family Medicine Residency Faculty Opportunity
Full Time Core Faculty Position
The MCW-Prevea Green Bay Family Medicine Residency Program seeks a committed Family Medicine physician to join as a Core Faculty Member. This role is instrumental in shaping resident education and clinical experiences. Clinical duties comprise 60% of this position, with additional responsibilities in teaching and mentorship. Opportunities for obstetrics and inpatient care at St. Vincent’s Hospital are optional.
